Karnataka State Pollution Control Board

The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board was constituted as the ‘Karnataka State Board for the Prevention and Control of Water Pollution’ by the Government of Karnataka on 21.9.1974, under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act 1974. Later as per the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) amendment Act 1988 (Art.53 of 1988), the name of the Board was changed to Karnataka State Pollution Control Board.
