ReGen Powertech, the new name to drive wind energy in India is committed to providing an alternative source of energy that is sustainable. ReGen offers total "Turnkey Solutions" for wind power projects that includes consultancy, manufacturing, supply, erection, commissioning, operations and maintenance services of wind turbines.
ReGen manufactures technologically advanced wind turbines at its well planned, state-of-the-art production facility near Tada in Andhra Pradesh, India. The plant houses a sophisticated assembly line and a completely integrated in-house R&D Center. The company currently manufactures about 200 gearless wind turbine generators of 1.5 MW capacity per annum which it proposes to increase to 500 wind turbine generators by 2010.
ReGen has a technical licensing agreement with Vensys Energy AG, Germany, a globally leading name in wind turbine design and development. Vensys has installations in key wind energy markets such as Germany, China, Canada, and Czech Republic and currently in the Spanish and Indian markets.
Vensys technology is unique and characterized by maximum energy production through high efficiency, greater reliability, fewer moving parts and low maintenance cost through reduced wear and tear. The turbine’s inherent high reliability is borne out of “direct drive permanent magnet” mechanism with “no gear box”, resulting in conversion of 100% mechanical power without electrical losses.
ReGen Powertech is ably and strategically supported by Indivision India Partners, that has a stake in the equity capital of the company. Indivision India Partners is a USD 425 million Mauritius-based private equity fund advised by Indivision Investment Advisors, a subsidiary of Future Capital Holdings.
